Workshop 1 — Interactive Fiction, and Games
The production of interactive stories and games for art, entertainment, and education is a complex process requiring math, computer science, art, design, and analytical skills. In this workshop students will "play" an interactive story book and be introduced to the process of animating and scripting interactive characters.

Workshop 3 — Candy Land
Chemical engineers process chemicals and make-- and improve-- just about everything around you. In this workshop, learn about what polymers are and how we use them in our everyday lives.  We will also learn how to make gum drops, a polymer that you can eat! Workshop 4  — The Human Factor & Engineering
A brief discussion of the role of engineers in designing and producing things that we all use, Students will try exercises which show why technology must be designed with people in mind.

Workshop 8 — Do You Hear What I Hear?
Learn to identify native WNY frog / toad calls.. and perhaps a few native bird songs-while getting to know three new friends: a frog, a toad, and a newt.  You'll also learn about Frogwatch, a citizen science project and how this herpetologist's persistence has brought local conservation work to the Buffalo Zoo.

Workshop 18 — Planning and Designing Livable Communities
A fast-paced workshop about the professions of urban planning, urban design, and architecture and how these professions shape our built environment through simulation planning exercises.

Workshop 19 — mmmm. mmmm.. Math!

Workshop 24 — The Skeleton Within You 
You'll have hands-on experience with bones of the human skeleton, learn the names of the bones, and put them together to create a complete skeleton.  Although a plastic skeleton will be used during the exercise, the students will be able to hold real human bones.

Workshop 25 — Mysterious Medicine 
Medicine is said to be a lot of science, a little art. This medical workshop is a lot of mystery!  Surgery? Dermatology? Pediatrics? The possibilities are endless, so if medicine is your interest, this workshop is sure to cast the perfect spell!
This mysterious workshop will be led by a wonderful local practitioner..You'll have to sign up to find out who!
