The 2010 AAUW-NYS Leadership Conference was held July 9-11 on the campus of Cazenovia College, in the charming village of Cazenovia, NY.

The speakers and presenters were impressive, and the attendees came away with much information. The lineup for the weekend included:

Debby Rooney, President and Co-Founder of BEADS for Education. Debby also provided a handout explaining her program.

Lecia Imbery (AAUW Grassroots Advocacy Coordinator) and Nancy Mion (National AAUW Public Policy Committee Chair) presented materials to prepare for effective Voter Education in 2010.

In addition, now available is a list of the votes by the NYS representatives on bills of special interest to AAUW along with an explanation of those bills.

Tamara Brown, Buffalo Branch member and a member of the national Leadership Corps, spoke on "Keys to Corporate Communications".

Maria Pascucci, Founder of Campus Calm, spoke on "Success Starts with Self-Love". She provided several handouts:

EF update by AAUW-NYS Educational Fund Vice President Lisa Clark - an outline of the various funds which AAUW uses for its educational philanthropic programs. Fund #4336 is the general Educational Fund number and #4347 is the number for the new American Fellowship sponsored by the Buffalo Branch in honor of Hillary Rodham Clinton. There is a special donation page set up for that fund.

AAUW-NYS LAF Vice President Mildred DeWitt emphasized the need to continue the work of the Legal Advocacy Fund. She emphasized the value of the legal resources network. The fund number for donations to LAF is #3999 and the one specifically for the Evvie Currie Giving Circle is #3086.
