Most of us know the New York State AAUW organization exists, and we may know that a portion of our yearly dues goes to the State level. But what does the State AAUW actually do?
We’re honored to have the State AAUW President, Carol Griffith of Buffalo, as the speaker for our September meeting. Carol will talk about how the State organization supports local branches, including Greater Rochester. She’ll also look into the future of AAUW in New York State, and make some predictions about what we’ll look like five years down the road.
Carol shared some information about her life when she’s not wearing her AAUW President hat:

• She’s a government employee with the Department of Veterans
  Affairs, in the position of Patient Representative at the Buffalo VA
  Medical Center;
• She’s the mother of two children and grandmother of four;
• She’s a graduate of the Wyoming Central Schools, NYS Empire
  College, and SUNY Buffalo School of Social Work;
• She’s a golfer, and a fan of the Sabres, Bills, and Yankees.
